Paneer, which is also known as ‘Indian Cottage Cheese’, is a sour-milk cheese mainly seen in the Indian sub-continent. It is made from cow or buffalo milk and non-melting delicate cheddar(cheese).


Here we introduce you ‘Makhmali Paneer Tikka’, an easy starter recipe that will melt in your mouth, no matter how hungry you are! 


This is another Tarla Dalal’s recipe I got it from my Godrej Microwave Oven Cookbook and it is too good! Also, check out her Savoury Cake recipe we posted before. 


INGREDIENTS: 

To be mixed into a marinade
Thick Curd                      ¾ cup
Cheese Spread              ¼ cup
Green Chilli Paste         1 tsp
Garlic (Lehsun)              1 tsp
Ginger (Chopped)        1 tsp
Garam Masala               ½ tsp
Chilli Powder                 2 tsp
Coriander Powder        1 tsp
Chaat Masala                 1 tsp
Kasuri Methi
(Fenugreek Leaves)     1 tsp
Cashew Powder           2 tbsp
Salt                                   to taste
Olive Oil                          ½ tsp 

OTHER INGREDIENTS:

Paneer Cubes 2"           3 cups 
Mint Leaves                    few  

SERVES:    4 people

COOKING TIME:    4 minutes 

MARINATING TIME:    15 minutes

METHOD: 


• Combine the paneer cubes with the prepared marinade in a bowl and toss gently, till the marinade coats the paneer pieces evenly from all the sides. Keep aside to marinate for 15 minutes.

• Put a microwave-safe plate on the turntable and place the wire rack on it.

• Arrange the paneer pieces on the wire rack and microwave on HIGH on grill mode for 4 minutes. 

• Serve immediately garnished with mint leaves.
